reminiscing "Kanat" is a semi-animated docudrama exploring Istanbul’s underground culture through the life and writing of Kanat Güner. The film moves between memory, fiction and lived experience, following the real characters from her novel and the environments she inhabited.
It traces a fragmented landscape of the city — from the communal nightclubs under the Galata Bridge in the 1980s to the smoky bars, student clubs and shared apartments of the 1990s.
